Available File Types 

The programme reads and writes a large variety of common file types:

Load and save JPEG (RGB, GrayScale, YCbCr, CMYK, YCbCrK).

JPEG2000: JP2, J2K and JPC code stream formats (JPEG-2000 Part-1 standard, ISO/IEC 15444-1)

Read/write of Exif information (in Jpeg and TIFF)

Load and save TIFF (rev.6.0 and Tech.Note #2, Packbits, JPEG, LZW, CCITT G.3 and G.4) with RGB, CMYK, B/W, CIELab, with 48 bit support. Also FAX (CCITT3), G3F and G3N (Zetafax) formats supported for loading. Supports paletted 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 colours  images.

Save PostScript (PS and EPS) format - single and multi-page using RLE, G3Fax, G4Fax and Jpeg compression.

Save Adobe PDF format - single and multi-page images using G3Fax, G4Fax and Jpeg compression.

Load and save PNG with various compression levels.

Load and save compressed and uncompressed BMP in 2,16, 256 or 16M colour images.

Load and save uncompressed and black/white WBMP (Wireless Bitmap)

Load and save compressed and uncompressed PCX images in 2,16, 256 or 16M colours.

Load and save 2, 4, 8,16, 32, 64,128 or 256 colour GIFs.

Load and save DCX (multi-page PCX) files

Load and save DIB, RLE, TGA (TARGA, VDA, ICB, VST, PIX).

Load and save Portable Bitmap PBM, PGM and PPM

Load WMF, EMF

Load RAW files of many camera manufacturers including Canon's CRW and Nikon's NEF. RAW files can not be written however.

Read/Write IPTC (IIMV4) information from JPEG and TIFF.

Note:

EXIF information will be read when opening and saving  JPEG, JPEG2000 and TIFFfiles.  It will also be read when opening RAW files and saved only to JPEG, JPEG2000 or TIFF output. High dynamic range RAW files will be read, but saving with preservation of dynamic range is possible only with 48 bit TIFF output.
