Using the programme: Batch mode

You can process a whole directory of images or several images selected from a chosen directory.

Click on:

This will open the batch processing selection window. It is similar to the view from the Windows Explorer:

In the left pane, you can choose a directory or drive on your machine or on a network.

In the right pane, you can choose a block of files by holding down the shift key and the left mouse button and dragging to activate the desired block.

Alternatively, you can choose a number of individual images by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking with the left mouse button on the desired files.

After you have made your selection, click on the OK button to start the processing of the selected files. A new window will open and show you the file currently being processed.

After each file is processed it will saved automatically to a file of the same type and quality, but the file name will have the addition of "-LC" before the file name extension so that you can see that it has been processed if you open batch mode again or look at the directory with the Windows Explorer. To prevent processing images twice, batch mode will pass on to the next file in the chosen list if it finds -LC in the file name or if it finds the original file and another file with the -LC flag.

Note:

Camera RAW image file types, notably Canon's CRW and CR2 and Nikon NEF formats, can not be saved in LuminCor. Therefore they will be saved as uncompressed TIFF files in batch mode

Warning:

The intensity and saturation slider values are applied to every selected image. Hence you should choose these for a typical image in a sequence in single image mode before applying batch processing to an entire directory full of images.

You can also delete any image from the right pane by right-clicking on its name and choosing Delete. This option should be used with great care, but the deleted image is placed in the recycle bin in case you have to restore it.
